Discover Eindhoven

City trip

Eindhoven was named Best City Centre from 2011 to 2013. The city owes this title mainly to its large-scale redevelopment. The city centre underwent a thorough overhaul, resulting in a new, vibrant city centre that can be enjoyed by young and old alike.

Industrial heritage

The industrial character of Eindhoven has given the city a modern appearance. Everywhere you see traces of the industrial heritage. Be guided through the First Light Bulbs, where Philips began its electronics empire. The Light Tower from 1921 is a national monument where Philips bulbs were once tested. The 105-meter-high Admirant is the tallest building in Eindhoven and connects to the old Philips headquarters. But Eindhoven also has monuments that go further back. For instance, Saint Catherine's Church is a beautiful structure from 1861, designed by Pierre Cuypers.

Vibrant neighborhoods

The old Philips site Strijp-S will be transformed into a hip, vibrant neighborhood by 2020. You can already see the first signs of this. Shopping is best done in the Admirant with unique stores, and in Urban Shopper, you will find innovative concepts and fashion stores. The FeelGood Market is a market with primarily many lifestyle products. After your shopping trip, a drink on a terrace at De Markt is highly recommended. For the late hours, Stratumseind is a famous nightlife spot.
