Zoo Duisburg is located in North Rhine-Westphalia and has more than 280 animal species. The park is especially known for its dolphinarium, one of the largest in Europe with various species of dolphins. Another major attraction is the Koala House with an extensive Australia section. At the dolphinarium of Zoo Duisburg, a group of bottlenose dolphins performs a spectacular dolphin show. You can find the Orinoco dolphins in the Rio Negro, a tropical hall where there are also monkeys and birds.

In the koala house, you can admire the wildlife of Australia with, among others, lumholtz's tree-kangaroos, wombats, and koalas. Zoo Duisburg is further known for the large group of fossas and the Äquatorium. This building with surrounding outdoor enclosures is inhabited by pygmy hippos and various monkey species, including geladas.
