Go on an adventurous expedition in the Apenheul

The Apenheul: a forest full of free-roaming monkeys!

Spotting monkeys up close

In the large forest in the middle of the Veluwe, you will find the Apenheul. In this beautiful, green park, more than half of the monkeys roam freely among the visitors. With the handy spotting tips you encounter along the way, you won't miss a single one. In the Apenheul, you will find more than 35 species of monkeys! Of course, there are also monkeys that do not roam freely, such as the gorillas and orangutans. During the special presentations by the monkey caretakers, you can learn everything about the monkeys. Don't miss the Monkey Tree Path either. Here you walk between the treetops and discover even more monkeys and other animals from the rainforest. Done with monkey spotting? Then your children can have fun like a monkey in the Na-aaphuis, or you can enjoy some tasty, organic fries with a view of the gorilla island. You can buy discounted tickets on the website of the Apenheul.
